Australia Visitor Visa (eVisitor/ETA) Checklist
Document requirements for Australia visitor visa applications
Passport and Personal Documents
- Valid passport with at least 6 months validity
- Completed visa application form (online for eVisitor/ETA)
- Passport-sized photos (45mm x 35mm, taken within last 6 months)
- Copy of birth certificate (if applicable)
- Marriage certificate (if applicable)
Financial Evidence
- Bank statements for last 3-6 months
- Pay slips or employment contract
- Tax returns or business registration documents
- Sponsorship letter (if applicable)
- Proof of assets (property deeds, investments, etc.)
Travel Itinerary
- Flight bookings (return/onward)
- Hotel reservations or invitation letter from host
- Travel insurance (recommended)
- Planned activities or tours in Australia
Important Notes
- eVisitor/ETA is for short visits up to 3 months
- Processing time: 1-4 weeks (varies by country)
- No visa label in passport - electronically linked to passport
- Must not work while on visitor visa
- Health examination may be required in some cases
